H.O.P.E. (Helping Ourselves through Peer Support & Employment)

H.O.P.E. is an organization run by and for consumers of mental health services. They work collaboratively with the community to empower people in their recovery by providing peer support, peer programs, education, advocacy and employment.

The Mood Walks program is open to adults in the community who struggle with their mental health. The walks are led by peer support specialists along with trained volunteer hike leaders. Members learn about nature and safe hiking practices while exploring some of the city’s 70 km of beautiful trails.
