Call for Proposals to Host a Mood Walks Group

Deadline Extended to Friday, March 21 at 4 pm

Mood Walks will provide training and support for 30 community mental health organizations across the province to launch educational walking programs for older adults who experience mental health issues. Participating organizations will run a walking group for at least 10 weeks during the spring and summer of 2014, with 8-12 participants per group who are 50 years of age and older.

In addition to weekly walks, Mood Walks groups will receive free Safe Hiker training from Hike Ontario, have the opportunity to explore their local Conservation Area and be part of Conservation Ontario’s 2014 Healthy Hikes Challenge.

Mood Walks group leaders will receive support and resources every step of the way.
